TIGERS POUNCE ON THE TITANS FOR 7-0 WIN

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's soccer team remained undefeated in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference after defeating IU-South Bend 7-0 Saturday night at the Snowbarger Athletic Complex. Abbey Cash led the way with two goals and two assists. The Tigers set a season-high with 61 total shots and 33 shots on goal in the win.


ONU put four goals past IU-SB in the first 45 minutes of play. Marissa Anderson got the Tigers going in the 8th minute as she was on the end of a cross from Cash for the game-winning goal. Cash doubled the advantage for the home side in the 30th minute with an Olympic goal from the left corner. Melea Miller tacked on the final goal of the first period as she stretched the net in the 40th minute with the assist credited to Olivia Lorenc. Olivet had a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into the break.

 The Purple and Gold did not slow down offensively scoring four more goals in the second half. Sara Loichinger's cross found Cash at the far post to complete the brace at the 49:52-mark. Katie Knutte picked up her first goal of the season with the dish from Cash in the 55th minute. Miller completed a brace of her own with a shot from the top of the box beating the Titan netminder. Keeley Francis scored the match's final tally in the 66th minute with a goal from distance catching the goalkeeper off her line. IU-SB's Jordan Aiello has an impressive night with an astounding 26 total saves on the night.
