TIGERS DELIVER NAIA QUALIFYING PERFORMANCES AT GVSU MEET

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Tigers had a strong showing at the GVSU Meet, highlighted by standout performances in both individual and relay events.

In the men's 800 meters, sophomore Levi Johnson ran a time of 1:58.29, continuing to build momentum in the middle-distance events. His sub-2:00 performance reflects steady progress and competitiveness in a deep field.

The Tigers also impressed in the men's Distance Medley Relay, as Flynn Prather, Quinton Long, Charlie Bardwell, and David Olmos combined for a 10:05.71 finish. Their performance earned an NAIA "B" standard and a 13th-place finish overall, showcasing depth and teamwork across all four legs.

On the women's side, Olivet's Distance Medley Relay squad of Taygen Beyer, Olivia Lentz, Laurel Munson, and Heidi Heldt delivered one of the top highlights of the meet. The group placed ninth overall with a time of 11:50.26, earning both NAIA "A" and "B" standards. Their qualifying mark positions them strongly as the season progresses.

Overall, Olivet Nazarene demonstrated strength in the distance events, with multiple national qualifying marks and competitive finishes against a talented field at GVSU.
