ONU MEN DELIVER STRONG ALL-AROUND PERFORMANCE AT HOME INVITATIONAL

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Olivet Nazarene University men's track & field team delivered a strong all‑around performance, earning multiple event victories, podium finishes, and personal bests across sprints, hurdles, middle distance, distance, and field events.

Senior Noah Mack opened the meet with a win in the 60 meters (6.95), while junior Weston White added a third‑place finish. White later captured the 200 meters in 22.34, leading a deep Tiger group that included a personal best from sophomore Darren Jones (22.77) and a PR from freshman Michael Gilbert (23.06). In the hurdles, junior Avery Johnson claimed first in the 60m hurdles (8.79), with sophomore Kennedy Hamilton finishing second.

Middle‑distance action was highlighted by senior David Olmos, who won the 800 meters in 1:58.25. Senior Flynn Prather placed third (2:00.16), while senior Joey Puccillo finished fifth. The trio also went 2‑3‑4 in the 1000 meters, led by Prather's runner‑up effort (2:31.32). In the mile, senior Austin Rush paced ONU with a third‑place finish in 4:28.48.

Distance depth showed in the 3000 meters, where junior Brandon Armendarez finished fifth (8:56.26), followed by PR efforts from sophomores Reese DeVriendt and Toby Sneed. ONU also dominated the 4x400 relay, as the "A" squad of Romance Atkins, Darrin Dussett, Eric White, and Noah Mack won in 3:24.33, while the "B" team placed second.

In the field events, sophomore Marcus Robinson captured the weight throw title with a personal‑best 17.55 meters and placed third in the shot put. Sophomore Xavier Johnson won the long jump (6.70m) and finished second in the triple jump, while junior Pacey Nack earned runner‑up honors in the pole vault with a PR clearance of 4.60 meters.

The Tigers remain in Bourbonnais for their next meet, which will take place on Friday, Feb. 6 at 3 p.m.
