LA CROSSE, Wis. — Tigers softball put together a strong showing against Viterbo, winning two of three games behind timely hitting and resilient performances at the plate.
The Tigers opened the series with an impressive comeback victory, rallying for a 10–7 win. After falling behind early, Olivet chipped away before exploding for seven runs in the sixth inning. Disciplined at-bats and aggressive baserunning fueled the surge, with Rheanna Slavicek leading the way with two hits, three RBIs, and two runs scored. Rayelle Brennan added two hits and two RBIs, while RyLyn Adams scored twice and reached base multiple times.
Olivet continued its offensive momentum in the final game of the series, securing an 11–7 victory behind a 13-hit performance. The Tigers built their lead through consistent scoring before a four-run fourth inning created separation. Gwen Bender had a standout performance, recording four hits, including a home run, while driving in four runs and scoring three times. Slavicek and Victoria Strines each added multi-hit efforts, and Adams contributed by scoring twice and drawing multiple walks.
In the middle game, the Tigers battled in a close contest but came up just short, falling 3–2 despite tallying 10 hits. Olivet generated scoring chances throughout, highlighted by an RBI double from Slavicek and a late run in the seventh, but was unable to complete the comeback.
Across the three games, the Tigers showcased consistent offensive production and the ability to respond in key moments, securing the series win over Viterbo.
