BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University football accumulated over 500 yards of total offense as the Tigers rolled to a 64-22 win over Judson in the conference opener.
The Tigers opened up the scoring on their second drive on a methodical 15-play drive that was capped off in the endzone on a Cameron Crouch to Tyler Isaacson connection.
ONU added two more on the next play from scrimmage when Judson quarterback Christian Miller fumbled the snap in his own endzone. Miller landed on the ball and gifted the Tigers two points with a safety.
Jalen Dunnigan tacked on six more when he brought down his 25th career touchdown for the Purple and Gold to put the Tigers up 16-0 before the end of the 1st quarter. That lead quickly jumped to 23-0 when Crouch scampered into the endzone for his fourth rushing touchdown of the season.
Andrew Lee-Smith scored his first career touchdown on a two-yard dive up the middle to close out a dominant first half for the Tigers.
Halftime: Olivet Nazarene 30, Judson 8
Judson's Brandon Mackey scored touchdowns on a 60-yard run and a 75-yard run to open the second half, but ONU had their answer on the ground. The ONU battery of Arthur Walker and Evan Leake both punched in touchdowns while Crouch found Jenkins in the back of the endzone to put point number 50 on the board for the Tigers.
Iverson Harris and Clayton Davis both scored their first career touchdowns to wrap up a dominant victory over Judson, getting the Tigers out to a 1-0 start in MSFA play.
