NEW ORLEANS, La. – After an incredible season on the oval, the Olivet Nazarene University women's track & field team earns national recognition as Hannah Antkoviak and Zontavius Johnson earn the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Track Athlete of the Year and Women's Assistant Coach of the Year, respectively, for the Midwest Region. The USTFCCCA announced their end-of-season awards on Friday.

Antkoviak had a historic season for the Purple & Yellow Gold. The sophomore sprinter from Allegan, Mich., shattered the all-time NAIA record in the 400-meter hurdles with her 56.97 effort at the Drake Relays. In addition to her dominance in the 400-meter hurdles, Antkoviak is also ranked fourth nationally in the 100-meter hurdles.

Johnson, in his first year as an assistant coach at ONU, coached Antkoviak over the course of her historic sophomore season. Additionally, his group of sprinters scored a total of 103 points at the CCAC Championships in helping the Tigers win their seventh-straight conference title.

The Tigers will close out the season at the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will begin on Wednesday, May 24 at the Wildcat Stadium in Marion, Ind. You can watch the Championships live at the NAIA Network.
