ONU SWEEPS FIRST KCAC SWIMMER OF THE MONTH HONORS

WICHITA, Kan. — Nicholas Klenner and Allison Pearson, both of Olivet Nazarene University, were named KCAC Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Month, respectively, the conference office announced Thursday. Both student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 20-Nov. 9 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors.

Klenner finished first in seven of his nine individual events this month, going undefeated in the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes in every meet. He was the top finisher in all four of his events in the St. Ambrose dual. Klenner is ranked sixth nationally in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke and is 20th in the 500 freestyle.

Pearson hit the NAIA provisional standard in all 10 of her individual performances this season, finishing first in eight of her 10 individual events. Pearson set a pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.83) at Lewis University, an NCAA Division II program. In the NAIA, she is nationally ranked first in the 100-yard breaststroke, second in the 200-yard breaststroke. fourth in the 100-yard freestyle, and sixth in both the 200-yard IM and 400-yard IM.
