CHICAGO, Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University's Nick Kilian's two-goal and one assist performance against Iowa Wesleyan awarded the left wingback Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors. The awards were announced by the league office on Tuesday morning (for league office release, click HERE).
Kilian assisted the game-winning goal to Fabio Hasler in the 13th minute of the match. He scored his first goal 1:11 later. The Germany native tallied the final goal of the afternoon at the 55:02 mark as the Tigers rolled to a 5-0 win improving to 3-1 on the year.
With the two goals, Kilian has accumulated five goals in his career. The assist was the second of the season and brought his assist total to 20 in his three seasons at ONU. Last season, Kilian recorded 17 assists which ranked first in the conference and second among all players in the NAIA.
