LIMA, Ohio. – The (RV) Olivet Nazarene men's soccer program tallied their first statement win of the young season as they bested No. 14 Lindsey Wilson College 4-1 to open the UNOH College Soccer Showcase Thursday. The Tigers took advantage of a Blue Raider first-half red card followed by four different ONU scorers on their way to the upset victory.
Max Jasper set the tone early as a long ball played to the senior striker was laid off to Justin Eisenmann at midfield. Jasper proceeded to dash beyond the LW backline and was rewarded with a breakaway goal and only 1:59 coming off the game clock. The Blue Raiders fell on hard times in the 30th and 31st minute as Moussa Gueye picked up two quick yellow cards and was sent off as a result. Despite the man disadvantage, Lindsey Wilson tied up the game against the run of play at the 36:10-mark. Both sides went into halftime level, 1-1.
