FOUR TIGERS EARN CCAC ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University baseball team had four players earn all-conference recognition as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its postseason baseball awards Thursday afternoon.

Alex Seaton was selected to the conference's prestigious first team, while Jack Dupuis, Takumi Kimoto, and Aden Aukland each earned second-team all-CCAC honors.

Seaton was named the CCAC's top third baseman in his first season with the Tigers. The freshman from Delavan, Ill., ranked among the top five players in four separate categories offensively, led by his .412 batting average which rated as the second-highest clip in the conference. He also finished second in hits (75), fourth in triples (3), and fifth in on-base percentage (.486).

Dupuis earned his third consecutive second-team all-CCAC selection after another stellar year on the diamond. The senior shortstop from Wheaton, Ill., led the conference in runs scored and hit-by-pitches at 64 and 20, respectively, while also finishing third in hits with 72. Dupuis wrapped out 25 extra base hits on the year on 17 doubles, five triples, and three home runs. He also reached double-digit steals for the second-straight season with 19 on the year.

Kimoto set the table for the Tigers at the top of the order. The senior catcher and designated hitter from Miles City, Mont., earned his first selection from the CCAC after producing 33 RBIs on 52 hits for a .292 batting average. Kimoto also finished second on the team in doubles (15), home runs (3), and extra base hits (19) to register a .434 slugging percentage.

Aukland notched his first all-conference nod as ONU's top run producer. Spending the bulk of the season as the Tigers' clean-up hitter, Aukland led the team with 53 RBIs, which also ranked third in the CCAC. The junior outfielder from Plainfield, Ill., finished the season with a .358 batting average and 16 extra base hits, including 11 doubles and three homers, for a .484 slugging percentage.

ONU compiled a 26-26 overall record on the year and reached the CCAC Tournament semifinals.
