Tigers had eight student-athletes recognized for their work in the classroom and the pool as members of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for swimming and diving.
The Tigers were represented by four men and four women. On the men's side, Michael Meinert, Jacob Fincher, Caleb Norling, and Jack Fries earned the honor. The women's honorees were Aubrey Velzen, Katelyn Inman, Abigail Pitts, and Kayla Parry.
The group reflects Olivet Nazarene's continued commitment to excellence both academically and athletically.
Among the men's selections, Michael Meinert, a senior psychology major from Metamora, Illinois, carried a 3.98 GPA while competing in the 200-yard butterfly, 200-yard individual medley, and 400-yard individual medley. Jacob Fincher, a sophomore sports management major from Logansport, Indiana, posted a 3.97 GPA and recorded B standard times in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard butterfly. Caleb Norling, a junior psychology major from Sandpoint, Idaho, maintained a 3.97 GPA while competing in the freestyle events. Jack Fries, a senior engineering major from Fenton, Michigan, earned the distinction with a 3.91 GPA after an outstanding season that included KCAC Swimmer of the Year honors and All-American recognition.
On the women's side, Aubrey Velzen, a senior accounting major from Hudsonville, Michigan, earned recognition with a 3.95 GPA. Katelyn Inman, a senior interior design major from Zeeland, Michigan, posted a 3.89 GPA and added to an already decorated career that includes multiple All-American honors. Abigail Pitts, a sophomore social science education major from River Grove, Illinois, was honored with a 3.82 GPA, while Kayla Parry, a junior marketing major from New Holland, Pennsylvania, earned the award with a 3.72 GPA after another standout season in the butterfly and individual medley events.
Several of the Tigers also paired their academic success with major accomplishments in competition. Fries was named the KCAC Swimmer of the Year and earned All-American honors, while Inman collected another All-American season and Parry finished the year as an All-American and national runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly.
The CSC Academic All-District honor recognizes student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom, highlighting the balance of academic achievement and athletic success. Olivet Nazarene's eight selections showcase the strength of the Tigers' swimming and diving program and the dedication of its student-athletes throughout the 2025-26 season.
