BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Olivet Nazarene University freshman Skylar Dorsey has been named the CCAC Women's Volleyball Setter of the Week after a breakout performance in the Tigers' thrilling five-set victory over St. Ambrose.
Dorsey, who transitioned into the 5-1 system this past week, delivered 47 assists, 13 digs, 4 service aces, and added 3 kills with a .231 hitting percentage, all in a single match. Her assist-per-set average led the entire conference, underscoring her impact despite having played just one match during the award period.
"Skylar's ability to step into a new system and immediately elevate our offense was remarkable," the coaching staff noted. "She showed poise, precision, and leadership well beyond her years."
With Dorsey orchestrating the attack, Olivet Nazarene continues to build momentum in CCAC play. Her early-season success signals a bright future for the Tigers as they push toward postseason play.
