KOWALSKI TABBED DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CHICAGO, Ill. - Olivet Nazarene University's Tessa Kowalski gathered her first honor as the top defensive player of the week and the first player from the program to be honored with the award this season when the league office made the announcement Tuesday morning.

In a battle of league frontrunners, Kowalski's play in goal left the Tigers alone at the top with their 3-1 victory on Saturday.  The sophomore goalkeeper stopped a season-high ten shots in the only match in her only game played last week. The netminder has logged 547 minutes this season with a .765 save percentage in conference play.

The Tigers are now 5-0-1 in the conference and 6-3-1 overall.
