ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The No. 19 Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team opened their 2022 season Friday evening at the Lewis Early Bird. ONU's Taylor Vallangeon won the men's 6k race with a time of 19:13.20, while the Tigers finished as the team runner-up in the six-team event.
Vallangeon, a junior from Columbus, Ohio, took the top spot by a wide margin of 23 seconds. The remainder of the Tiger scorers ran as a pack, with the four finishing within five seconds of each other. Peyton Hobson and Erik Richter cross the finish line together, with Hobson taking 13th place (20:29.2) and Richter placing 14th (20:30.0). Connor Price and Enrique Romo crossed the finish line in tandem, as well, placing 16th and 17th, respectively.
