VANCOUVER, Wash. – The No. 22 Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team concluded their 2021 season at the NAIA National Championships on Friday afternoon. The Tigers finished in 17th out of 36 schools competing.
The Tigers were led by Taylor Vallanegeon, who finished in 23rd place with a time of 25:41.6. Vallangeon was the second highest individual finisher from out of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and earned All-America status for the second-straight season. Vallegeon became the third Tiger in program history to finish as an All-American in back-to-back seasons. Following Vallangeon was Enrique Romo. Romo ran across the finish line in 89th place with a time of 26:40.6.
Andrew Morgan, Hayden Colclasure, Nate Mayo, Boston Brooks, and Joshua Scharpenberg made up the rest of the team for the Tigers as they finished with their best team finish since 2018 when the Tigers finished in 12th place.
