BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Olivet Nazarene University cross country teams hosted their first meet of the season, in the Midwest Intercollegiate, at the Aspen Ridge Golf Course on Friday evening. The No. 22 women's team won the team championship with 25 points, while the No. 18 men's team took the meet with 27 points.
Jaclyn Latocha took the best score of the day in the women's 5k race with a time of 18:30.30 while Sarai Vargas finished right behind, running a time of 18:39.70. Eleanor Fournier, Jacey Schickel, and Lauren Smith finished in 7th, 10th, and 17th, respectively. Elise Champlin finished in 17th and Taylor Widder rounded out the Tiger women finishers with an 18th place finish.
Taylor Vallangeon won the men's 8k race with a time of 25:44.50. Enrique Romo finished as a runner-up clocking in a time of 25:58.30. Following Romo was Hayden Colclasure, Nate Mayo, and Alexander Smith, who finished in 6th, 9th, and 15th, respectively. Jacob Christopherson and Payton Domagalski rounded out the Tigers and finished in 23rd and 26th, respectively.

The Tigers head to the Louisville XC Classic at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on Saturday, Oct. 2nd. Start times the both the men's and women's races are still to be determined.
