CHICAGO, Ill. - The Olivet Nazarene men's volleyball outside hitter, Max Slaughter, has been awarded the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week after leading the Tigers to three straight wins capped off with a career performance on Saturday in a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Viterbo University (Wis.).
Slaughter was named the CCAC Attacker of the Week after leading Olivet Nazarene to three league wins. He averaged 3.83 kills and 1.83 digs per set while attacking at a 25 percent clip over the three contests.
The sophomore outside hitter had a big day on Saturday when he tied his own career-high with 19 kills as part of a double-double (14 digs) in a five-set win over Viterbo University (Wis.). He also tied a school record with his seven aces that same afternoon.
Slaughter added 16 kills on Thursday and 11 on Tuesday in victories versus Lincoln College and Roosevelt University.
