BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene men's soccer team scored twice in the final ten minutes of the match and completed the comeback victory over the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints,2-1, Tuesday night at Snowbarger. The Tigers bounced back to their winning ways after recording their first conference loss over the weekend.

Against the run of play, Zakhar Shkidchenko ran onto a flicked-on ball into the box and played it by an out-stretched Leonard Bewig to take the early lead at the 16:28 mark. Edgar Pani Maxim Ngom and both struck the woodwork looking to answer back. Pani in the 26th minute and Ngom in the 34th minute of play. The Fighting Saints held the slight advantage at the break.

Halftime: St. Francis 1, Olivet Nazarene 0

Olivet Nazarene fought hard to get a footing in the second period. The Tigers took 12 shots in the second half but nothing could trouble the Fighting Saints netminder until the final ten minutes of play. The insertion of Benjamin Struebelt and Fabio Hasler into the game proved crucial for ONU to finally get their equalizer. In the 82' minute, Max Jasper found Stuebelt at the top of the box for a quick one-touch through-ball to Hasler for the first-time finish. With renewed energy, it to only six minutes for Justin Eisenmann and Jasper to link up for the game-winner.
