BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University kicker Bryce Deguira earned the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest Division Special Teams Player of the Week as the league announced its selections on Monday. This is the first time that Deguira has garnered this honor this season and sixth time in his career that he gathered Player of the Week honors.
The Nashville, Tenn. native had a very productive night in the 34-7 win over Taylor University on Saturday night. Deguira marked an 18 and 37-yard field goal, made all four extra points attempted, and launched seven kickoffs. Out of those seven kickoffs, the Tiger kicker had one touchback and averaged 62.4 yards on his kicks. Deguira accounted for 10 of the 34 points scored.
The No. 17 Tigers travel to Judson University on Saturday, October 2nd at 7 p.m. The game will be played at Dundee Crown High School in Carpentersville, Ill. Please visit onutigers.com for the most updated information.
