HELDT'S RECORD SETTING PERFORMANCE EARNS HER ANOTHER CCAC RUNNER OF THE WEEK HONOR
CHICAGO, Ill. - For the fourth time this season, Heidi Heldt has earned recognition as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Runner of the Week.
Heldt completed her best performance yet as a Tiger when she won the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich. Her time of 17:28.40 placed her first in a field of 187 runners and also set a new school record!
The Tigers, led by Heldt, ran to a fifth place finish at the event where they defeated multiple teams ranked inside the top 12 of the latest NAIA Coaches Poll.
Olivet runs next when they host the CCAC Championship at Aspen Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, Nov. 8.
