FREDIN, NICHOLAS, & SERAFIMOVA NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team had three Tigers earn recognition from the conference for their performances this season, as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its postseason awards Monday.

Halle Nicholas and Analiese Fredin were both named to the conference's first team, while Sara Serafimova earned second-team distinction from the CCAC.

For Nicholas, it marked her second-consecutive appearance on the CCAC's first team and her third recognition by the conference. She was the Tigers' top scoring threat, leading the team in both kills with 296 and hitting percentage on a .233 clip. The senior from Warren, Mich., put away double-digit kills in 14 contests this season and ranked fifth in the conference with 3.02 kills per set.

A newcomer to the CCAC, Fredin earned a first-team selection in her first season with the Purple & Yellow Gold after tallying 703 assists in her 24 games played. The sophomore McBain, Mich., native led the CCAC with a 7.90 assists-per-set average and recorded the tenth-most assists in a single match in school history with her 55 sets in a five-set win over Trinity Christian on Nov. 5.

Serafimova, a second team all-CCAC selection a season ago, earned another second-team honor this year. Serving as ONU's primary libero, the senior from Skopje, Macedonia racked up a team-leading 365 digs across 27 matches this year. She reached double figures in the category in 19 matches and ranked sixth in the conference with 3.76 digs per set.

The ONU women's volleyball team finished the season 11-18 overall and 7-7 in the CCAC, good for the sixth-best mark in the league, and qualified for the conference tournament.
