CHICAGO, Ill. – Helping lead the Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team to a perfect league week, Hadleigh Loitz has earned her first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Setter of the Week award. The league office made the announcement on Tuesday.
Loitz was the only player of the three recognized to appear in a pair of matches last week and she delivered in each of them en route to CCAC Setter of the Week accord. The senior opened the week with a career-high 45 assists and five digs in a five-set thriller over Roosevelt University last Tuesday. She followed that up with 36 assists and another five digs in a three-set win over Governors State University on Thursday.
All told, Hadleigh averaged 10.1 assists and 1.3 digs per set in the two matches to boost the Tigers to 4-6 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Loitz and the Tigers will return to McHie Arena tonight to face the IU Northwest Redhawks at 7 p.m.
