TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's & women's track & field teams took on some of the top programs in the nation at the fully loaded Gibson Invitational this weekend, hosted by Indiana State University.
In a meet featuring multiple NCCA Division I opponents, the ONU women's javelin unit shined with two NAIA B standards for a pair of top-10 finishes. Haylee Whitcraft took bronze in the event with a 42.55m mark, while Avery Spencer placed sixth at 41.07m.
Olivia Lentz hit an NAIA B standard of her own, bolting to a 1:03.61 to place ninth in the 400m hurdles. The men's quartet of Noah Mack, Joseph Randolph, Eric White, and Darren Dussett hit the B standard in the 4x100m relay at 41.02.
