KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Olivet Nazarene University's Allison Pearson was named the NAIA National Swimmer of the Month, as announced by the league office Friday afternoon.
Allison Pearson, a sophomore from Normal, Ill., hit the NAIA provisional standard in all 10 of her individual performances this season finishing first in eight of her 10 individual events. Pearson set a pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.83) at Lewis University, an NCAA Division II program.
In the NAIA, she is nationally ranked first in the 100-yard breaststroke, and second in the 200-yard breaststroke. She was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle, sixth in the 200-yard IM, and 400-yard IM.
Pearson and the Tigers will be back in their home pool this weekend when they host the ONU Tri Invitational Saturday at the Perry Center.
