TIGERS CLOSE OUT CAMPAIGN WITH THIRD-PLACE FINISH AT MILLIKIN TOURNEY

DECATUR, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team closed out the 2022-23 season with a third-place finish at the Take Back the Night Challenge, hosted by Millikin University at the South Side Country Club.

The Tigers were incredibly consistent across the two rounds of the Take Back the Night Challenge, with all five members of the ONU squad either carding the same score or improving on their score in the second round.

Alexandria Jones and Lizzie Howard fired the same score in both rounds to lead the Tigers at the Take Back the Night Challenge. Jones earned a top-10 finish by firing identical 81-81 to place 10th while Howard went 83-83 to finish in a tie for 14th.

Mara Bakke and Emily Hayhurst each improved their second-round score by six strokes this weekend. Bakke fired an 87 Friday before turning in an 81 Saturday to place 17th overall. Hayhurst improved from 89 on day one to 83 on day two to tie for 21st. Lydia Steier rounded out the scoring for the Tigers with a 92-89 to place 33rd.

The Tigers shot a collective 668 to finish in third place at the Take Back the Night Challenge. Washington University took the team title with a 616 score.
