FOUR TIGERS AND COACH BROWN NAMED IN THE ALL-CCAC HONOR ROLL

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced on Tuesday afternoon its selections for the All-Conference teams. 

 

The Olivet Nazarene University women's golf was well-represented on those two lists.  Seniors Margaux Catafort- -Silva and Kiana Krahulik gathered first-team recognition while freshman Liz Miller and sophomore Alexandria Jones garnered second-team accolades.  In addition to the four all-conference selections, head coach Mackenzie Brown earned her first Coach of the Year honor in her first season at the helm for the Tigers. 

 

Catafort- -Silva earned her third All-CCAC honor joining Coach Brown as the only Tiger women's golfers to be a three-time All-CCAC selection.  Margaux had another spectacular season for the Tigers as she finished the season making the cut for the NAIA Championships and finishing in 46th place.  This season, the Tiger senior won the individual title at the ONU Bill Johnson Fall Intercollegiate, while also winning the Battle at Blackthorn and the at the CCAC Cup. Catafort- -Silva also had five top-five finishes in the fall and in the spring.  Krahulik also had a very good season for the Tigers as she was the individual champion at the CCAC Championships on April 21-22.  Additionally, the Plainfield, Ill. native had three other top-five finishes this season. This is the second-straight All-CCAC selection for Krahulik.

 

A native of Jamestown, Ohio, Miller had a great freshman season for the Tigers.  Miller earned her best finish at the CCAC Championship with a sixth-place finish.  Earlier this season, the Tiger freshman shot a season-best 78 in the first round of the Players' Club Invitational.  This is the first all-conference selection for Miller.  A native of Bloomington, Ill., Jones earned her second-straight all-conference honor.  This season, Jones saw her best finish come at the CCAC Cup where she finished in tied for second-place.  Her best round also came in the final round of the CCAC where she shot a 71. 

 

In her first season at Olivet Nazarene, Brown earned the Coach of the Year honor.  Coach Brown guided the Tigers to their fourth-straight CCAC Championship and fourth-straight NAIA Championship berth. Four selections to the all-conference team is the second-most in school history.
