TIGERBALL RUN AWAY TO A 59-POINT WIN OVER THE CRIMSON WAVE

WHITING, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball picked up their fifth Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Saturday afternoon with a 111-52 road win over Calumet St. Joseph. Tigerball's bench contributed a combined 55 points with Brooklyn Marshall setting a career-high 14 points and nine rebounds and Alayha Allen posting a season-best 13 points and seven rebounds.


ONU allowed a season-best 52 points from the opposition. The tone was set early as the Crimson Wave only scored seven points to the Tigers' 24 in the first quarter. They combined for a total of six steals in the first 10 minutes of play from five different players and outrebounded the CSJU 19-6.


Olivet tallied their best scoring period of the contest in the second quarter pouring in 36 points. Six different Tigerball athletes recorded a three-point bucket. Caroline Boehne went a perfect 3-3 from the floor for seven points while Bett O'Neal and Maggie Cora combined for 10 points. The Purple and Gold went into the locker room leading 60-17.

Boehne tacked on six additional points and three rebounds to reach her third consecutive double-double and seventh of the year. The graduate senior forward ended the day with 20 points and 16 rebounds. She now averages 20.7 points and 13.7 rebounds in her last three appearances.

 

Five Tigers finished with double figures in the scoring column. Maggie Cora doled out a game-high five assists while scoring 12 points. Olivia Demosthenes led all players with four steals to go with 12 points.
