ONU SOFTBALL LANDS FOUR ON CCAC ALL-CONFERENCE HONOR ROLL

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University softball team had four players earn all-conference recognition as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its postseason softball awards Wednesday afternoon.

Zoe Oshiro and Allie Timm were selected to the conference's first team, while Kahiwa Ili and Faith Mikos both earned second-team honors.

Oshiro earned her spot on the all-CCAC first team after leading ONU in all three offensive slash lines with a .379 batting average, .424 slugging average, and a .529 on-base percentage. The Hawaiian senior roped in 18 RBIs from the leadoff spot and led the conference in triples with seven. Oshiro posted a .918 fielding percentage from the pivotal shortstop position and rolled four double plays in earning her first nod from the CCAC.

Timm was the team's top pitcher, compiling a 13-8 record to go with a 2.88 earned run average. The senior from Channahon, Ill., started 17 games on the mound and finished 11 of them, tossing five shutouts. She averaged 5.71 strikeouts per seven innings, recording 109 punchouts across 133 ⅔ frames. Timm could have earned all-conference recognition with her bat, as well, hitting .368 at the plate while notching 14 RBIs and sending out seven doubles. This is the first all-conference selection for Timm.

Ili earned second-team all-CCAC honors after serving as ONU's primary power hitter. The sophomore from Hawaii wrapped out 12 extra-base hits on the year, including eight doubles and a team-leading four home runs. Ili also led the team in RBIs and walks drawn at 20 and 14, respectively, while slugging .517 on the season to collect her first all-conference recognition.

Mikos was the only Tiger not making her first appearance on the postseason honor roll, earning her second selection from the CCAC. The senior outfielder from Manhattan, Ill., sent out 39 hits for a .312 batting average while leading the team in doubles (10) and stolen bases (7). Mikos was nearly perfect in the outfield, recording 60 putouts against just two errors for a .969 fielding percentage from the right-field position.

ONU finished the season 23-19 overall and qualified for the CCAC Tournament.
