CHICAGO, Ill. – A slugfest by Olivet Nazarene University's Megan Mann during the seven-day period ending April 16 has earned her the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week recognition, the league office has announced.
Mann delivered three home runs over her five games played last week leading to her 1.357 slugging percentage to go along with a .571 batting average. The senior infielder registered eight hits among her 14 at-bats with ten runs batted in. She also recorded two doubles and three runs scored.
Mann opened the seven-day stretch last Tuesday with a 4-for-4, two-home run, five-RBI game in a 10-2 victory over St. Ambrose University. She also went 3-for-4 with another home run and three runs batted in in a 7-2 first-game win over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday.
Olivet Nazarene went 5-1 on the week to move its record to 20-12 overall and 9-3 in league play.
