FOUR TIGERS EARN CCAC POSTSEASON HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. – Four members of the Olivet Nazarene University men's volleyball team have earned recognition on the 2025 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) postseason honor roll, as announced by the league office.

Brody McAfee and Kahaku Marquez were both named to the CCAC First Team, while Jackson Harvey and Cade Ooms landed on the Second Team.

McAfee, a sophomore from Westfield, Ind., secured First Team honors following a standout season in which he averaged 3.63 kills per set on a .290 hitting percentage. He started all 28 matches for the Tigers, including every conference contest, and totaled 377 kills on the year with 154 coming in CCAC play. McAfee also recorded 69 blocks across the season and finished conference action averaging 3.76 kills per set on a .317 hitting percentage. The 2024 CCAC Freshman of the Year continues to be a key piece of ONU's attack. 

Marquez, a senior from Salt Lake, Hawaii, picks up his second consecutive First Team honor after another dominant season at the net. He played in 27 of 28 matches and averaged 1.41 kills per set with a .338 hitting percentage overall. In conference play, Marquez averaged 1.44 kills per set on a .364 hitting percentage while totaling 56 kills and 43 blocks in conference play. He finished the season with 123 total blocks. Marquez adds this honor to a résumé that includes First Team recognition in 2024 and Second Team selections in both 2023 and 2022.

Harvey, a senior from Indianapolis, Ind., earned Second Team honors—his first career All-Conference recognition—after playing in all 28 matches, with 26 starts, and leading the Tigers in blocks with 130 on the year—54 of those coming in CCAC play. He averaged 1.24 kills per set with a .339 hitting percentage overall and 1.31 kills per set with a .301 hitting percentage in conference matches. Harvey was named CCAC Defender of the Week twice this season (Weeks 5 and 10).

Ooms, a junior from Minooka, Ill., collected his first career All-Conference recognition with a Second Team selection. He appeared in 26 matches, making 21 starts, and averaged 1.93 kills per set on a .219 hitting percentage. In CCAC play, Ooms raised his average to 2.56 kills per set while hitting .248, finishing the season with 185 total kills and 42 blocks.

The Tigers closed the regular season with a 15-13 overall record and an 8-4 mark in CCAC play.
