BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced that Olivet Nazarene University track and field athletes Ethan Hodel and Brody Vollrath has swept Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week. The organization announced their selections on Wednesday. Hodel and Vollrath both won their first career honors.
Hodel, a native of Metamora, Ill., had a very strong showing at the Indiana Tech Monday Meet. The Tiger mid-distance runner ran his 800-meter run in 1:54.55 and finished in 2nd place. Hodel's time is good for the fastest time in the CCAC and 27th in the NAIA. Additionally, Hodel was a part of the Tiger 4x400 meter relay team that won the race with a time of 3:19.60.
Vollrath, a native of Peoria, Ill., had a very strong showing at the Indiana Tech Monday Meet. The Tiger thrower placed third in the javelin throw with a mark of 45.99 meters.
The Tigers are back on the track on Saturday, April 23rd as they host the ONU Tiger Open. Action begins at 9:15 a.m. with the racewalk, but the rest of the meet starts at 10 a.m.
