KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's track & field team was recognized for its performance in the classroom as 13 total student-athletes were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes, the league office announced Tuesday.
Representing the Purple & Yellow Gold were Ben Tavares, Braden Kehr, Brett Hulliberger, Chapman Neal, Conner Betts, Creed Welsch, Erik Richter, Ethan Piacenti, Jonathan Thomas, Noah Sears, Payton Domagalski, Peyton Hobson, and Vaughn Huber.
A total of 873 student-athletes earned the honor. In order to qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older and maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
