NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team saw its turnaround season come to an end Saturday afternoon at the hands of No. 10 Holy Cross in the championship match of the CCAC Tournament. The Saints defeated the Tigers 4-0.
ONU put up a fight in doubles against the nationally-ranked Saints. Davi Toledo and Hector Romero provided a spark when they teamed up to win the No. 3 bout 6-3, but Holy Cross handled the top two matches to secure the doubles point.
Paul Saleh won the first set in the No. 2 singles match, but the Saints picked up wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 matches to seal off the team victory 4-0.
The Tigers end the season 13-5 overall, and eight-win improvement over last year.
