ONU DROPS 4-3 MATCH TO PURDUE-NORTHWEST

PARK FOREST, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team hosted NCAA Division II foe Purdue-Northwest on Saturday afternoon at the Park Forest Tennis Club. The Tigers fell, 4-3, in the duel. 

 

Doubles play started with Jonathan Hentschel and Francisco Faria taking the first match, but unfortunately, the Pride took the doubles point as they won the next two matches. Faria then gave the Tigers the equalizer they were looking for as he won his singles match, 6-4, 6-2.  After another Pride win, Juan Diaz Banuls tied the score again as he won his match, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0. 

 

Nicholas Bailey was the only other Tiger winner as Purdue-Northwest won the duel, 4-3.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Tigers host the Foresters of Huntington College on Saturday, February 26th, at the Park Forest Tennis Club.  The first serve is set for 11 a.m.
