CHICAGO, Ill. – Caleb Stinespring earned postseason recognition from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC), being named to the all-CCAC second team as the conference announced its postseason men's golf awards Thursday.
The sophomore from Richmond, Ill., posted a team-leading 77.74 scoring average of 19 rounds this year. He finished inside the top 10 of five events, including two top-five finishes.
His best showing was a third-place effort at the Bethel Pilot Spring Invitational. Stinespring shot an even-par 72 Friday and then improved on it with a one-under 71 on Saturday to tie for third. The CCAC named him the Golfer of the Week for his efforts at the event.
Stinespring closed the year by finishing in a tie for 10th with a 241 (83-84-74) at the CCAC Championships.
