KYLE SPENCE LED THE TIGERS IN THE PURGATORY INTERCOLLEGIATE

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University men's golf team competed in the Purgatory Intercollegiate at the Purgatory Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.  The Tigers finished seventh out of 10 teams. 

 

Leading the way for the Tigers was Kyle Spence.  The Tiger senior was the clubhouse leader after an opening round 72 (E).  Spence then followed that up with a final round 77 and dropped to a tie for third- place.  The next closest finishers for the Tigers were Caleb Stinespring, who finished in tied for 22nd, and Conor Butts, who finished tied for 31st.   Stienespring, who played as an individual, finished with a 158 (+14) and Butts carded a score of 162 (+18).

The Tigers welcome the Pilots of Bethel College (Ind.) to the Elks Country Club for a Ryder Cup event that goes from Friday, April 8th through Saturday, April 9th.  Play on Friday starts at 12 p.m. and Saturday's action starts at 9 a.m.
