LEAKE NETS MSFA MIDWEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Sophomore running back Evan Leake was named the Mid-States Football Association Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday.

Battling some of the harshest conditions of the season, the ONU office ran primarily through Leake, who rushed for over half of the Tigers' total yards on the day. Leake went for a career-best 224 rushing yards to go with two touchdowns. His first came on the opening drive on a 57-yard sprint and the second from 12-yards out to put the Tigers up 14-0 in the first half. Leake would tab career-bests in rush attempts (25), yards (224), yards per carry (9.0), longest run (57) and touchdowns scored (2) in a 27-14 win over Trinity International.

Through nine games this season, Leake has rushed for 871 yards and six touchdowns.
