PATRYK RYCZEK MAKES HISTORY WITH HIS THIRD COSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERCIA HONOR

AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Friday afternoon, its selections for the Academic All-America honor. 

 

For the third straight season, Olivet Nazarene University defensive back Patryk Ryczek was honored as an Academic All-America honoree.  Ryczek becomes the second Tiger in history to win three-straight CoSIDA Academic All-America honors joining Jacob Bulthuis of the baseball team.

 

Ryczek has been a stalwart in the Tiger defensive backfield for four seasons.  In the 2021 season, the Tiger senior led the MSFA with five interceptions and 17 pass breakups.  Additionally, he was third in the conference with 58 interception return yards.  For his career, Ryczek stands in second all-time with 17 career picks. 

 

The Inverness, Ill. native, earlier this season, was named a second-team all-MSFA selection for the third straight season. Ryczek is also a three-time MSFA All-Academic honoree, and a two-time NAIA-Daktronics Scholar Athlete.  Ryczek studied Business Administration at ONU.
