BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Following a 20-17 win against Siena Heights, No. 10 Olivet Nazarene University linebacker Jason Freeman was rewarded as the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest Division and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Defensive Player of the Week. Freeman earned this third career MSFA Defensive Player of the Week distinction and second career NAIA Defensive Player of the Week.
On Saturday, the Tiger linebacker gathered 16 total tackles, including 10 solo tackles. Additionally, Freeman amassed 5 tackles-for-loss for 24 yards. The Zion, Ill. native also marked a pair of sacks for 15 yards and 4 quarterback hurries. Freeman led a defense that allowed only 200 yards of total offense.
