CHICAGO, Ill. – Right-handed starting pitcher Ethan Underwood was honored by the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) as Pitcher of the Week announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. Underwood becomes the second Tiger this season with the designation in as many weeks.
The Woodstock, Ga. native pitched a complete game in the second of a three-game series with Georgetown College (Ky.) last Friday. The junior allowed only three hits with no walks while striking out four batters to pave the way for ONU's 2-0 win over GC.
The Tiger's starting pitcher has now started in five games this season tallying four or more punchouts in his last four outings. He has tossed a team-leading 31 innings with a team-best 2.61 ERA among players with 10 or more innings pitched.
