CHICAGO, Ill. - Four players from the Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) women's soccer team were recognized Thursday as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced its post-season honor roll. Among the honorees were standout contributions from ONU's midfield, forward, goalkeeper, and defensive positions.
Senior midfielder and team captain Alaina Bahr (Bourbonnais, Ill.) earned her first selection to the CCAC's First Team. Bahr played in all 20 games this season, including every one of the Tigers' 11 conference matches, starting 19 games overall and 11 in conference play. She contributed 1 goal and 1 assist, leading by example as a senior leader. This honor follows two previous Second Team selections in 2022 and 2023, showcasing Bahr's consistency and impact throughout her career.
Junior forward Melea Miller (Bloomington, Ind.) had a breakout year, earning her first post-season recognition and a spot on the First Team. Miller was a force on the field, playing in 19 of 20 games and starting 15 overall, with 10 of those starts coming in conference play. Her 12 goals, including 11 in conference action, and 8 assists were pivotal to ONU's success. Miller was perfect in penalty kicks (1-for-1) and contributed 3 game-winning goals, solidifying her as one of the top players in the conference.
Sophomore goalkeeper Meegan Randall (Republic, Mo.) earned her second consecutive First Team selection after another impressive season in the net. Randall's stellar shot-stopping abilities helped anchor the Tigers' defense, as she played in 18 games, starting 16, including 9 conference matches. With 62 saves and just 16 goals allowed, Randall's reliability between the posts was crucial to the Tigers' defensive success.
Senior defender and team captain Emily Greene (St. Anne, Ill.) earned a spot on the conference's Second Team for the second time in her career. Greene played and started in all 20 games, including 11 conference matches, contributing 1 goal in both overall and conference play. Her leadership on the backline helped guide ONU's strong defensive efforts throughout the season.
These four players have been instrumental in leading the Tigers to an impressive 9-5-6 record overall and a dominant 7-0-4 mark in conference play. As the team pushes forward into national post-season competition, they will continue to be key drivers in the Tigers' pursuit of further success.
