CHICAGO --- Overcoming the obstacles Mother Nature set before him, Olivet Nazarene University's Jeremy Brassard (SO/Strafford, N.H.) gained a pair of titles for the week ending Sept. 11.
Brassard, a sophomore, first won the individual title at the Tigers' Midwest Classic last Friday and then was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Wednesday when the league office made the announcement.
Brassard led the Tigers to the team title with his first-place finish in the meet. Running in a torrential downpour, he finished the 8K flooded course in 27:32, outdistancing 81 other runners.
Olivet Nazarene is ranked No. 10 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Other Nominees: Jake Fitzgerald (St. Francis).
